Our Training Methods

"In every class the training methods are positive. Praise and petting are tools people always have on hand, and training treats are a fun and easy way to help accelerate learning." Simply stated, our approach is to reward desirable behaviors and use management techniques and the withdrawal of attention to prevent or extinguish behaviors we don't want. We will work to make owners aware of their unintentional reinforcement of undesirable behaviors and the need to reinforce preferred behaviors that the dog offers. Owners are encouraged to find ways to work on modifying these behaviors throughout the day, not just during formal training sessions.

Our training sessions are six weeks long, they meet once a week. We offer puppy kindergarten and basic obedience. We also offer private training lessons. For most classes we offer different days to choose from and if you can’t make it one day you're always welcome to attend a different class. Call for prices, times and dates.
